Before starting any new things in our life, we pray towards Vinayakar who is also called as Ganapathy, Vigna Rajan, Pillayar, etc. The worship of Vinayakar as the main deity is called as "Ganapathyam". He is one among the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi. We find huge and small temples (even in small streets) for Pillayar in our country. This Aavani month, we celebrate "Vinayaka Chathurthi" festival towards Him.
